However, when putting on your own, smaller fashion show, the more creative you can get with the venue, the better your show will be. If the weather permits, look for an outdoor venue, like an unused bandstand in a park, or a particularly, well-lit city alleyway. Make sure you clear it with a manager, but chances are you’ll be able to use a public space for free, or very little cost.

Once all the rest is arranged, you will need to send out invitations in order to get the word out about your show. Invitations can also be made cheaply out of recycled materials and a little bit of paint or markers. Make sure your invitations list all the vital details, like the name of the event, the designer’s name, the date and the location, but keep them a little bit elusive as well.
